Mango Rice

Delicious  Mango Rice so easy to make and at first start with 


For cooking white Rice:

  1. 1 cup rice
  2. 2 cups water
  3. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  4. 1 tablespoon butter or oil (optional)

For Mango Masala :

  1. 1 Tbsp mint - chopped 
  2. 3 Tbsp coriander - chopped 
  3. 1/4 cup ghee 
  4. 1/4 tsp cinnamon-broken
  5. 4 cloves 
  6. 2 green cardamoms 
  7. 1/2 cup Mangos - grated 
  8. 2 tsp ginger-garlic 
  9. 2 cup Mango nicely sliced
  10. 4 green chillies-slit 
  11. 2 tsp salt or to taste 
  12. Coriander leaves for garnish


How to cook rice 

  1. Rinse your rice in a strainer before cooking
  2. use a 1:2 ratio of one cup of rice to two cups of water. 
  3. Add  1/2 teaspoon oil
  4. Keep and cover the pot in stove for boling  Don't take off the lid while the rice is cooking — this lets the steam out and affects the cooking time.
  5. Heat for 30 minutes or until fully cooked.Approx time of cooking White Rice: 18 to 25 minutes
  6. How to Make Masala :
  7. Meanwhile, take another pan heat the ghee and add the cinnamon, cloves and cardamoms. 
  8. Add the Mangos and ginger garlic paste and saute till Mangos are a light brown. 
  9. Add the Mango puree and saute till fat separates. 
  10. Add the green chillies and salt and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  11. once masala cooked combine with rice salt and pepper to taste. serve it hot
