- Dal --- 1 cup
- Magaya --- 1/4 cup
- Onion -- 1 medium chopped
- Green chillies --- 2 cut in to small pieces
- Oil --- 1 tab spoon
- Mustard seeds --- 1/4 tea spoon
- Split urad dal --- 1 tea spoon
- Cumin seeds ---- 1/2 tea spoon
- Curry leaves --- 3
- Salt to taste
METHOD:--1. Wash and soak tour dal for 10 minutes then add chopped onion and green chillies, cook till done.
2. Remove from heat add magaya pickle to dal mash with a potato masher or with a spoon. Check salt and adjust according to your taste.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan add mustard seeds let them popup then add urad dal, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves.
4. Add tadka to magaya pappu mix well to combine every thing.
