Green Chilli Pickle

Ingredients for green chilly pickle:

  1. Green Chillies – 200 gms.
  2. Red chilli powder – 1 tsp.
  3. Cumin powder (roasted) – 2 tsp.
  4. Lemon juice – ½ cup
  5. Fenugreek seeds – ½ tsp.
  6. Mustard seeds – ½ tsp.
  7. Turmeric powder – 1 tsp.
  8. Vegetable oil – 3 tsp.
  9. Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Powder fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds.
  2. Mix with red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt
  3. Cut green chillies into two along length wise, dip in lemon juice.
  4. Keep aside for an hour so that the spiciness gets absorbed in lemon juice.
  5. Add the above spice mixture to the green chillies.
  6. Heat the oil to luke warm and add it to the mixture, stir well.
  7. Pack the pickle in the air tight container preferably in glass container.
  8. Green chilli pickle is ready.
