Amla Pickle (North Indian style)


Ingredients

  1. Amla - 500 grams
  2. Mustard oil - 200 g
  3. Hoeng - 1/4 tsp (ground)
  4. Manthi seeds - 2 small spoons
  5. Parsley - 1 teaspoon
  6. Salt - 50 g (4 teaspoons)
  7. Turmeric powder - 2 teaspoons
  8. Red chili powder - 1 tsp low
  9.  Mustard Oil- 4 teaspoons 
  10. Sonf powder - 2 teaspoons

How to make:

  1. Amla Rinse with clean water. Amla is put into a pot and 3 cups water,
  2. Amla is removed from the water, after cool it  
  3. Put oil in a frying pan and heat it. Oil should be heated thoroughly. 
  4. add Asafoetida and azadirachta seeds, parsley, 
  5. Add turmeric powder, Sonf powder, red chilli powder, salt with spices spoon and make paste.
  6. Spice and amla is well received. Amla pickle is ready.
  7. After cooling the pickle in a glass container is filled.
